Chlorophyll Concentration Charts
Surface chlorophyll concentration (CHL) is a measurement of the quantity of plant life in the surface layer of the ocean. Chlorophyll observations give us information about how clear the water is at a particular location and where different water masses come into contact with each other.
Use our Chlorophyll charts to find where clean blue offshore water meets up with off-blue or green water that has good plankton life and baitfish.
With a Chlorophyll break comes bait fish, with the bait comes the offshore predators.
Since Chlorophyll can only be measured during daylight hours we provide 2-3 images per day, usually available in the early evening to overnight hours so you have the latest data available when you wake up to fish early the next morning. We also create a daily 1-day and 3-day composite to stitch multiple shots together into a single image with maximum coverage.
